Dr. John McDermott joined GVS in 1988 and became a practice owner in 1991. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Master's Degree in Reproductive Physiology and from the School of Veterinary Medicine. His expertise includes reproduction, developmental orthopedic diseases, dentistry, production management, quality milk and dairy farm profit enhancement.
Dr. Sarah Jensen joined GVS in 2007 as a veterinary associate and became a practice owner in 2011. She obtained a bachelors in Animal Science and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. She has a particular interest in equine lameness and continues to develop new techniques in the pursuit of lameness evaluation and treatment. Dr. Jensen is Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians (MAV) certified to provide both acupuncture and chiropractic treatments for large animals. She completed training under the International Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado State University, and the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association in the Spring of 2009.
Dr. Averi Simpson joined GVS in June of 2017 as an associate veterinarian. She obtained a bachelors in Animal Science from Berry College in Rome, GA and her doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She has a particulate interest in equine and bovine reproduction, equine dentistry, and large animal chiropractic and acupuncture.
